Potenza Technology has extensive in-house experience in the management of successful engineering projects from research and development through to production. We combine the use of the latest management tools and techniques with practical hands-on experience and an open approach, highlighting problems when they arise and tackling them head on to help customers deliver projects on time and to budget. Potenza Technology has extensive experience in the application of systematic engineering processess, and in the integration of systems. We use the latest techniques to reduce overall time to market whilst improving product reliabilty and meeting customer requirements. Techniques such as virtual prototyping, simulation and automatic code generation are employed in the development of production ready systems. The systems engineering process is integrated with a safety engineering process in order to ensure a robust, reliable product. We pride ourselves on utilising tools and techniques in an optimal way to solve customer problems, not just a standard approach at each problem, but considering it in light of the customer, the environment, the market and the product to be developed. Safety engineeing is undertaken through a systematic process. The start of this process is a preliminary hazard analysis (PHA) where potential system hazards are identified. From this the system is analysed using statistics to ascertain the appropriate safety integrity level (SIL) and the corresponding required analyses for the product development. We work within the standards of IEC 61508 and the guidelines of MISRA (Motor Industry Software Reliabilty Association) and undertake analyses such as FTA (Fault Tree Analysis), HAZOP (HAZard and OPerability Analysis), FMEA/FMECA (Failure Mode Effects Analysis) and associated analyses appropriate to the system SIL level. We provide services ranging from designing and managing a safety process through to technical support for detailed FMEA analyses.
