Systems Simulation

We provide simulation services including:

Systems Simulation - we model physical systems using tools such as Mathworks Matlab/Simulink and Dymola Modellica for application in off line computer based simulations and Hardware in the Loop simulation.

Simulation Model Validation - we support customers with advise on simulation model validation and test requirements through to undertaking such tests.

Simulation Model Review - we can anaylse your simulation models and provide feedback on their suitability for autocoding and Hardware in the Loop simulation.

Simulation Model Interfaces - we build dedicated user interfaces for simulation models to simplify calibration, and for demonstration purposes.

Simulation Animation - we can build graphical animations of your simulation for visualisation and customer feedback/acceptance testing.

Control Systems Engineering

We provide a compete control service which can take you from control algorithm design and development through coding and testing to production application. Some of the key services offered include:

Control Algorithm Development - we create mathematical control algorithms using techniques such as classical control, fuzzy logic, and adaptive control to meet the customers control requirements.

Process Implementation Support - we support customers with advise on their processes for control development, maximising the benefits of new technologies such as automatic code generation, and using our experience to avoid potetial pitfalls through seamless integration with design, development and safety functions.

Control Model Review - we can anaylse your control models and provide feedback on their suitability for autocoding and Hardware in the Loop simulation.

Control Model Productionisation - we take customer control models, commonly in Mathworks Simulink and convert the models for optimal code generation for a given application hardware target. This can include construct optimisation, floating to fixed point operational conversion, task allocations etc.

Control Algorithm Testing - we can support and deliver rapid prototyping and hardware in the loop testing for functional testing.

Legacy Code Modelling - we can convert your legacy code into a high-level simulation environment either a wrapped blocks of code, or through reverse engineering as a functional model of the code.

Test Case Management - why do things twice? We have tools to capture test cases early in the development cycle, providing rapid, regression testing through from the rapid prototyping to production code implementation.

Automatic Code Generation

As a part of our control development support we have developed extensive experience in the application of automatic code generation (autocoding) techniques and tools, including Mathworks Real-Time Workshop, dSPACE TargetLink and ETAS. We supply services including:

Rapid Prototyping - We can rapid prototype your simulation/control models using our RP targets such as the Prodrive Micro-Proteus to deliver working systems in very short periods of time.

Code System Tailoring - We can also tailor the code generation system to the customers specific target requirements to allow direct code generation to the production target.

Model Productionisation - we take customer high-level simulation/control models, commonly in Mathworks Simulink and convert the models for optimal code generation for a given application hardware target.
