Potenza Technology was formed to meet the market demand for system engineering skills in the automotive and aerospace industries. The foundations of the company lie in research and development into new automotive powertrains, notably for Electric, Hybrid Electric and Fuel Cell vehicles.

Potenza Technology has grown steadily both internaly and through the development of a strategic network of partnering organisations to provide a complete capability for systems engineering. Internally we specialise in core system engineering activities;

Potenza Technology has worked on a number of successful projects including:

• Development of controller for Hydrogen Fuel Cell Reformer System.
• Development of semi-active suspension system for automotive OEM using autocoding for production.
• Management of safety case for tier 1 automotive supplier.
• Simulation of flight control system for small fighter trainer (aerospace).
• Development of semi-automatic gearbox controller for F1 application.
• Development of CAN/TTCAN API and CAN gateway.
• Development of simulation toolset for engineering system simulation.
  

We are currently undertaking research and development in:

• Novel motor and drive arrangement for higher voltage systems.
• Novel hybrid drive system topologies.
• Advanced automated manual transmission control.

In 2004 an offshoot company, Rapicore Ltd. was setup to market in-house developed automatic code generation technology based products.
